Never mind staring death in the face - Amanda Holden reckons she saw Simon Cowell's mug when her heart stopped beating as she gave birth to baby daughter Hollie Rose in January.
The Britain's Got Talent judge made the revelation about the apparition at the press launch for this year's series, joking that her boss must be God.
"I was desperate to see Simon," she said. "I saw him when I flatlined actually. I did. He is God, I swear to you!"
Amanda was left fighting for her life after losing a huge amount of blood during her traumatic labour.
She also defended her decision to return to her seat on the BGT judging panel just two weeks after giving birth.
"I don't consider it work," she said. "Digging the roads is work, or working nine to five but I think sitting at a desk, pressing a buzzer for a day is a treat.
"I needed something, so that's why I came back and I've had the best time... The whole show takes about ten days in total, I would just like to point that out. Over about eight weeks. That's a good job I think."

Nigeria had a general Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized across the nation today. The examinations are being conducted for university admissions, however, it is not clear how the question papers reportedly sneaked out from invigilators hours before the approved start time for the exams. Nigerian test bodies are notorious for a culture of aiding and abetting examination malpractices, the scourge grows every exam period in Nigeria.
Today, UTME candidates were sighted earlier in the morning before examination commenced, downloading some alphabets supposedly believed to be answers from sources they claim are authoritative' in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination organizing body. Some of them said they already had the questions leaked since the eve of the exam.

Bishop David Oyedepo Launcehs New Airline Called Dominion Air
Oyedepo, who a few years ago ignited debate on flamboyant Christianity by acquiring his fourth private jet, is the owner of Dominion Publishing House, Covenant University and an elite secondary school called Faith Academy.
Listed by Forbes as Nigeria’s wealthiest pastor with a net worth of $150 million, David Oyedepo is a preacher and founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, more popularly known as Winners’ Chapel. Besides his four private jets, Forbes also mentioned the preacher’s luxury homes in London and the United States.
Sources within the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), the agency charged with business registration in Nigeria, confirmed the registration of Dominion Air with David Oyedepo as its chairman. Another source within a Lagos-based insurance firm known to handle most of Oyedepo’s businesses said the airline project had been in the works for six years and was only made a reality this year.

Nurse Arrested For Abortion
The 29-year-old male nurse, according to a DAILY GUIDE source at Garu, was arrested following a confession by a friend to the deceased, Afia, who revealed to the parents of the deceased that she and Georgina went to the suspect, Duut Nawang, for an abortion to be carried out for the deceased.

Remedies- Comprising of the talented trio of rapper cum singer Eedris Abdulkareem, Tony Tetuila and Eddy Remedy, this was one of the groups that defined the style now known as “Naija Hip Hop”. The Remedies was formed in 1997 and hit songs like “shakamo” and “omoge” endeared them to millions of people all over West Africa. The group split up in 1999 when the henchman of the crew, Eedris Abdulkareem decided to launch a solo career.
Eedris Abdulkareem’s solo career started off to a glistening start with the release of 3 successful albums with the Kennis Music label imprint between 2002 and 2004. His fortunes however took a downturn in 2004 after a fracas with the American rapper 50 cent. His subsequent album “King is Back” was released on his La Crème record label and he is still has a visible presence on the naija music scene.
Tony Tetuila also did very well on his own with smash hit songs like “omode meta”, I’m in love with 2 women” and “my car” which became a street sensation. He has 5 albums to date.
The third member of the group Eddy Remedy was unfortunately not able to kick-start a successful solo career. He has an album “Leave Eddy Alone” to his credit.

Plantashun Boyz- This defunct group of 3 comprising of 2face, Faze and BlackFace needs no introduction, especially as one of them- 2face- has gone on to become a legend of African contemporary music. They released two albums, Body and Soul(2000) and Sold Out(2003) before going their separate ways in 2004.
2face has since gone on to release 4 multiple award winning albums (Face 2 Face (2004), Grass 2 Grace (2006), The Unstoppable (2008) and The Unstoppable International Edition in 2010, bag numerous prestigious awards and nominations and become an Icon of Nigerian and African Music all over the world.
Faze has released three albums since- Faze Alone (2004), “Independent” which spawned several hit singles in 2006 and Originality (2008).
BlackFace has only one album to his credit. He also co-wrote 2face’s breakthrough single- African queen.
The Plantashun Boyz collaborated on a reunion album titled “Plan B” in 2007.

Pastor and 7 year-old shot dead overlLand ownership in Ogun State
Tears flowed freely Tuesday March 13, 2012 at the Oke-odo village situated between Olokopupa and Ajibawo Community, along Idiroko, Ogun State, following the killing of a clergy man, identified as Pastor David Ogbolu and a yet to be identified 7 year-old school boy by an armed gang said to be working for an unnamed land grabber.
Reports said the hoodlums stormed the sleeping village and started shooting rapidly at all directions. A police Inspector identified as Salami Mohammed and another person said to be working with a construction company named Mayowa Ette were caught in the reckless use of fire power and are critically lying at an undisclosed medical center where doctors are battling to save their lives.
The cause of the invasion and killing is still a mystery to the entire village, especially the bereaved. This is even as the police have launched a high powered investigation into the dastardly act.
The hoodlums, we learnt, stormed the Oke-odo village in two unmarked vehicles and motorcycles, shooting sporadically, during which the school boy who was in a car with his mother was hit. Report has it that the mother of the 7 year-old boy went to pick him from Faith Academy in Canaan land when the unfortunate incident happened.
But we scooped that the Pastor said to be in charge of Christ Bible Gospel Church in the area, was the principal target of the hoodlums who were armed to teeth. They reportedly laid ambush against him and swooped on him while on a bike with one of his co-workers.
Suspicion Of Causing Death By Dangerous Driving
A bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous drivingafter a crash in thick fog on the M5 today left one man dead and two others critically ill.
Dozens of passengers on the bus carrying a party of fruit pickers were treated for less serious injuries after a lorry crashed into the rear of the vehicle near Frankley Services early today.
West Midlands Police said a 49-year-old bus driver from Birmingham had been arrested in connection with the incident and had since been bailed pending further inquiries.
The Central Motorway Police Group said the coach was reported to have broken down in the nearside lane of the M5 before it was struck by the heavy goods vehicle at about 6.24am today.
A 35-year-old man from the Smethwick area of the West Midlands, who was among at least 30 people travelling on the coach, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another male passenger and the driver of the lorry, which was returning to Devon from the Manchester area, both suffered life-threatening injuries and were taken to the trauma unit at Birmingham's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Witnesses and a survivor of the crash said the accident happened after the coach came to a halt close to a footbridge in Bartley Green, Birmingham.
The driver's side of the lorry's cab was left embedded in the rear nearside of the coach following the collision, which also left debris strewn across the approach to the footbridge.

Whitney: Ray J Hits Back Over Cocaine Claims
US singer Ray J has hit back after being accused of supplying Whitney Houston with cocaine - including the dose that led to her drowning death.
A spokesman for the 31-year-old singer, songwriter, record producer and actor denied the claims - and said he did not even know Houston had begun using the drug again.
Leolah Brown, the sister of Houston's ex-husband Bobby Brown, appeared on US television on Thursday where she suggested Ray J was to blame.
But the singer's representative told celebrity website TMZ that her allegations were "absolute BS".
Houston, 48, was found dead in the bath of her Beverly Hills hotel room on the eve of the Grammy Awards last month.
She died from accidental drowning due to the effects of cocaine use and heart disease.

Gunmen kidnap senator’s wife
A gang of gunmen on Thursday abducted the wife of a lawmaker representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Senator George Sekibo.
The victim, Mrs. Asime Sekibo, was said to have been kidnapped by the armed men at about 6.30 pm near Obiri Ikwerre on East-West Road in Port Harcourt.
It was learnt that the lawmaker’s wife was waylaid by the hoodlums while she was returning home from a function.
SATURDAY PUNCH learnt that Asime’s abductors had overtaken her vehicle after trailing her for about 15 minutes.
Numbering about five, the bandits, who allegedly wielded AK-47 rifles, were said to have shot sporadically into the air before going for their target.
An eyewitness explained that the senator’s wife was ordered out of her vehicle and forced into the waiting vehicle of the marauders.
“She was driving on the East-West Road when some men ambushed her and took her away to an unknown destination. We don’t actually know the reason she was kidnapped because she is a good woman,” the eyewitness said.
A top government official expressed surprise over the abduction of the senator’s wife, explaining that the state government would wait for the outcome of police investigation.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Ben Ugwuegbulam, who could not confirm the incident, promised to speak on the matter the moment he got details of the abduction.
But a top police officer, who craved anonymity, confirmed the kidnap and added that investigation had been intensified towards rescuing the woman.

According to the tabloid, neither Kardashian’s pregnancy nor the couple’s son Mason could stop Disick from “ditching” her for a romp in New York earlier this month.

An investigation has been launched in Lebanon after an Ethiopian housemaid committed suicide a week after video was aired of her being dragged through the street and abducted.
Ethiopia's consul general said Alem Dechasa killed herself on Wednesday, a week after the LBCI television channel played amateur footage of her being lifted off the ground by her hair and forced head-first into a car.
The horrifying footage sparked national outrage in Lebanon.
The consul general, who saw Ms Dechasa on Tuesday, said she had been taken to hospital in order to recover.
The Lebanese cabinet condemned the violent incident and ordered an investigation into the matter before Ms Dechasa died.
But the campaign group Human Rights Watch (HRW) is calling for a wider investigation into the ill treatment of domestic workers.
It also wants to know why there appeared to be no follow up into Ms Dechasa's case after she received hospital treatment.
HRW director for Beirut Nadim Houri said: "Obviously her death is a tragedy. What makes it a bigger tragedy is that we think it could have been prevented.
"Her case is not unique, unfortunately, in Lebanon. In the study released a year-and-a-half ago, we saw an average of one death per week of migrant domestic worker in the country, often they commit suicide, so it's a broader systemic issue.
"So first, we need an independent investigation into first the ill-treatment of this woman and, secondly, why she was not properly followed up when she was transferred to Deir al Salib to get proper treatment."
The video showed a second man helping a first one as he forced Ms Dechasa into the back of the car whilst she screamed: "No, no, no."
After the video was aired, LBCI used the car's licence plate number to identify one of the men.
Activists in Lebanon posted the man's contact information on social media sites and demanded he be sued by the courts.

Pierre Robinson, 25, Charged Under Dangerous Dogs Act Following Mauling Of Five Police Officers
A musician was charged under the Dangerous Dogs Act today after five officers were mauled during a raid.
Symieon Robinson Pierre, 25, appeared at Thames Magistrates' Court accused of "allowing the dog to be dangerously out of control" outside his home in Albert Square, Newham, east London.
Metropolitan Police officers Pc Bush, Pc Merritt, Pc Corderoy and Dc Fray were among those injured in the attack. They were only referred to by their surnames in court.
Three officers remain in hospital after being savaged by the pitbull.
Two are awaiting surgery and one is in theatre this afternoon, the court heard.
At least two need skin grafts and plastic surgery, prosecutor Sabrina Samaroo said.
Robinson Pierre faced four charges, including possession of a pitbull dog, contrary to Section 1 of the Act.
The second allegation states that he allowed his dog to be dangerously out of control in injuring five people.
He also appeared in custody accused of kidnapping and grievous bodily harm with intent, relating to an incident on March 14 in Newham.
All five officers needed treatment for leg and hand wounds after yesterday's assault as they carried out a raid.
The three who were kept in hospital overnight are in a stable condition.
